Information Security Policy

Nippon Gear Co., Ltd. endeavors in our daily activities to be conscious that we are a member of the society we coexist in with our customers, shareholders, business partners, local residents, and all other parties with whom we have a relationship, and to protect confidential information and customer information from cyber attacks and all other threats through the entirety of our corporate activities.

We hereby declare that we will implement appropriate information security measures in accordance with the following Fundamental Principles, and will strive toward continuous improvement.

Fundamental Principles

  1. Our senior management will lead the implementation of the information security measures required in order to comply with this Information Security Policy.
  2. Our senior management will decide the information security objectives, establish a management system and regulations in relation to information security, and implement security control measures (organizational, individual, physical, and technological), alongside continuous improvement and revision.
  3. We will carry out risk assessments in relation to security control measures, and will regularly check for any potential threats or vulnerabilities, including whenever there are changes in business conditions.
  4. Our employees will fulfill all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements, and will observe Nippon Gear Co., Ltd.’s compliance obligations and regulations.
  5. We will appropriately manage personal information, from acquisition to disposal, on the basis of legal, internal regulatory, and contractual requirements related to personal information. Furthermore, we will properly supervise any information that is entrusted externally.
  6. We will carry out regular training with the aim of improving our employees’ knowledge, morals, manners and literacy regarding information security, and to enhance our customers’ satisfaction.
  7. We will implement measures and training in order to prevent any unauthorized access, information leaks, internal violation, or occurrence of disasters or other conditions that may impede the continuation of business. If such conditions arise, we will take swift corrective action, and report the situation to all stakeholders in our business operations.
